We’re recruiting a leader to take overall responsibility for a 45-bed rest home and dementia care facility. This is an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or clinical leader to step into a highly visible, hands-on role where relationships, culture, and quality care truly matter.
What You’ll Step Into
Leadership of an 18-bed secure dementia unit and a 27-bed rest home
Oversight of a dedicated team of 30+ staff, including RNs, Team Leaders, HCAs, and onsite services
A facility with strong compliance credentials, including a 4-year Ministry of Health certification
The chance to build meaningful relationships with families, GPs, and the wider Oamaru community
A hands-on leadership role in a home known for warmth, history, and exceptional resident care
Your Background
Registered Nurse or strong clinical background with experience working closely with nursing teams
Proven leadership capability within aged care or a similar environment
Confident managing both clinical standards and day-to-day operations
Relationship-focused, with the ability to engage staff, families, and external stakeholders
